Poseidon of the East (2)

Throughout East Asia, it was once customary to consider an infant one year old at birth, with a year added every New Year (the kazoedoshi system). In Japan, this was replaced in 1902 with the Western system of counting an infant one year old on his first birthday and adding a year every birthday after that (the man'nenrei system).

I just found this site and I just have to say THANK YOU! Thank you so much for giving me a chance to read The Twelve Kingdom novels here. I have always been a great fan of the anime and I thought it was high time I actually read the novel because the anime has always felt incomplete with it not continuing the story of Taiki. Now I have a chance to find out what happened. I am very excite to get started reading. Thank you.
